Having shown the best results, Rokas Ignotas and Audronė Locaitytė became the skateboarding champions of Lithuania
On July 4, the third official skateboarding championship of the Republic of Lithuania took place. Almost forty participants from all over Lithuania gathered at the new concrete skateboard park near the White Bridge. For the first time, a group of women made their debut in the championship, while beginners and advanced representatives of the sport demonstrated their strengths and tricks in a total of four groups.
During the finals of the PRO group standings, Rokas Ignotas, the 20-year-old from Klaipėda, scored 16.43 points out of 20 possible and beating last year’s champion Dovydas Jucys, who scored 15.86 points. Andrius Ūsas (29) took the third place, scoring 15.34 points for his best performances. The youngest participants in the Men’s PRO-group, competing with adults for the first time – 10-year-old Vainius Janeliūnas and 14-year-old Gintaras Kadziliauskas – were among the top 10 in the qualification and also competed for the champions’ title in the final.
In the women’s PRO group, which debuted in the championship for the first time, the winner was twenty-seven Audronė Locaitytė, who collected 10.70 points. Twenty-three Julija Vinciūnaitė took the second place with 10.10 points, the third – not far behind, with 9.23 points – twenty-seven Viktorija Žukauskaitė.
